ARMSTRONG CEILINGS INTRODUCES BROADEST RANGE OF STANDARD METAL MESH PANELS IN THE INDUSTRY

New MetalWorks™ Mesh™ portfolio features 13 different design options, including unique Tartan and Linear Weave patterns

Armstrong Ceilings has introduced the broadest range of metal mesh lay-in panels in the industry. The new MetalWorks™ Mesh™ portfolio totals 13 standard patterns, seven of which are unique to the ceilings industry.

Included among the new designs is a woven wire pattern that features a Tartan look, and another that features a Linear Weave look. No specialty manufacturing is required for any of the 13 new patterns, reducing lead time.

MetalWorks Mesh ceilings can be used as accent borders, clouds, or full ceilings to create a contemporary feel while adding a sense of volume to a space, especially one with an open plenum.

They also work well in conjunction with lighting for added drama and with Armstrong 360° Painted Grid for a consistent visual. In addition, custom capabilities are available through Armstrong Architectural Specialties, a dedicated in-house project management team.

Ideal for use in applications ranging from retail, hospitality and transportation to public buildings and convention centers, MetalWorks Mesh panels measure 2’x 2’ in size and install quickly and easily in a standard 15/16” T-bar suspension system.

Wide Variety of Panel Patterns Offered

The MetalWorks Mesh family of ceilings is offered in three types of panels – welded wire, woven wire, and expanded metal. Welded wire panels are offered in a square pattern with either 1”, 2”, 3” or 4” interior cells; and a diamond pattern with either 4” or 6” cells.

Woven wire designs include the Tartan Weave and Linear Weave patterns, plus a Crimped Weave pattern that features a wavy 4” square interior cell. Expanded metal designs include Scallops, a small circular pattern; Lattice, a small diamond pattern; Trellis, a medium flat diamond pattern; and Cascades, a large 3-dimensional diamond pattern.

Standard panel finishes include white, silver grey, gun metal grey, and tech black powder-coated finishes; a nickel chrome plating finish, which is available on all panels except Cascades; and bright aluminum and natural aluminum anodized finishes, which are available only on Cascades. Two premium options – copper and bronze – are also available for all panels, as are custom finishes. All Mesh ceilings are manufactured from cold-rolled steel except the Cascades panel, which is aluminum. All Mesh panels have borders or finished edges for simple and safe handling and installation.
