Sound absorbing properties make them ideal for use in open plenum
areas as well as over spaces such as workstations and reception desksSoundScapes™ acoustical canopies from Armstrong combine an aesthetically pleasing visual with the ability to provide spot acoustics in open spaces.
The sound absorbing properties of the canopies help reduce reverberation time in the space below them. As a result, they are ideal for use in open plenum areas as well as over spaces such as workstations and reception desks. Use of multiple canopies improves acoustics even more.
Aesthetically, the smooth surfaced, curved canopies offer a more visually pleasing option than other acoustical treatments, especially in high profile areas.
SoundScapes acoustical canopies feature the Ultima™ DuraBrite™ membrane or scrim. The scrim provides a very high Light Reflectance value of 0.90, meaning it reflects 90% of the light that strikes it. The DuraBrite surface also enhances the durability and scratch-resistance of the canopies. The new high recycled content canopies are also seismically approved.
Measuring 47”x 76”, the canopies can be installed as hills or valleys. Installation is easy, requiring no special tools or techniques. The canopies are simply suspended from the building structure. In addition, all hardware, cables and other required installation components are packaged with each canopy.
