Shaikh asks:

Can I have details on the following topics: business continuity plans, fire safety programs, mock drills, emergency scenario planning and training, disaster management, tenant security and life safety, risk management, EHS, critical facility management, and facility audits?

James Elledge replies ...

Some of the best information of this kind for facility managers can be found at the FEMA library Web site (www.fema.gov/library/prepandprev.shtm). This portion of the site covers preparation and prevention, disasters and emergencies, and response and recovery. FEMA also has educational courses available through its Emergency Management Institute (www.training.fema.gov/emiweb/).

Facility audit examples may be reviewed online at the National Center for Education Statistics (http://nces.ed.gov/pubs2003/maintenance/chapter3_2.asp).

Searching your local government agencies may assist you in finding examples tailored to your area.

Thanks for your question, Jim Elledge.
