Cruise-In Benefit

Employees have raised over $160,000 to assist families facing serious financial challenges as a result of heath problems. The 2010 event was a record breaker in attendance, number of show vehicles and money raised. The event included a car show with well over 500 vehicles taking part. Along with viewing the amazing vehicles, hundreds of attendees enjoyed food, prize drawings, children's games and live entertainment. All $31,000 in proceeds went to the family of a long-time Trendway employee that had recently lost his battle with cancer.

Grand Rapids Hope Lodge

Trendway is a long-time supporter of the American Cancer Society, raising an estimated $40,000 since 2002. The Grand Rapids Hope Loge is a home-away-from home for adult cancer patients and their caregivers who must travel to receive treatment – they offer lodging and transportation to and from Grand Rapids cancer treatment centers free of charge. In 2010, Trendway employees were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation for their fundraising efforts by Hope Lodge and representatives of the American Cancer Society.

Angel Tree

Trendway employees have supported the Angle Tree campaign for 10 years, providing gifts for children in foster care at Christmas. The Ottawa County Family Independence Agency provides wish-lists for the children and in 2010, employees participated in fund-raising events including raffles, a bake sale, a chili cook-off and more. In the end, hundreds of hand-wrapped gifts of love were delivered to forty-seven children before Christmas. Trendway is the only organization that supports foster children in Ottawa County in this way.
