Solely focused on BACnet since 2000, Swan was an active member of ASHRAE’s BACnet committee and other related committees and organizations.

BACnet approved final publication of eight addenda to the ANSI/ASHRAE Standard 135, A Data Communication Protocol for Building Automation and Control Networks. BACnet has also embraced UTF-8, which will fully takes advantage of its compatibility with the existing ANSI/ASCII character set.
