BOMI International’s designation programs deliver broad range of knowledge and skills needed by building and facility personnel to operate high-performance buildings.
The course takes the approach of building a comprehensive environmental health and safety (EHS) program from the bottom up. The focus is on enhancing EHS management skills to ensure effective implementation of the program. The management strategies emphasized, when applied, can minimize the risks and liability inherent in operating buildings and the equipment in them.
Greg Grainger fills the unexpired term of Dolores A. Bocian, RPA®, FMA®, who served as Chairman since her election in June 2011.
The organizations will dedicate resources in pursuit of four initiatives beginning this fall. As progress is made, both groups will report back to enlist the help of their constituencies.
Dolores Bocian is the new Chairman, while Vyetta Sunderland, BOMI International’s current Chairman, has remained on the Board as Immediate Former Chairman. Greg Grainger is the Vice Chairman, and Dave Fagone is Secretary/Treasurer.
On Monday, November 15, BOMI International announced it would waive all enrollment fees through the end of 2010.
BOMI International’s class entitled Electrical Systems and Illumination has been approved by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC). The course is the seventh BOMI International class approved recently by the USGBC.
