Event Overview and FAQs

The TFM Forum: Institutional was launched as an alternative event for Facility Executives faced with purchasing the most efficient and cost-effective facility management solutions.

When and where does The TFM Forum: Institutional take place?

The TFM Forum: Institutional will take place April 11-13, 2010 at the Innisbrook Resort & Golf Club in Innisbrook, Florida.

Who will attend?

Facility Executives responsible for purchasing their companies' facility management solutions will be attending from across the nation. Attendance is free of charge, and Facility Executives must meet stringent criteria to qualify for an invitation.

How is the forum structured?

The forum consists of pre-scheduled meetings between sponsors and delegates, as well as a conference program that includes keynotes, seminars and workshops. Prior to the event, personal schedules are created for all participants according to their individual interests and requirements.

To ensure all participants maximize their time at the forum, The TFM Forum: Institutional will use a custom computerized appointment system that pre-schedules meetings between Facility Executives and Sponsors. The appointment system is driven by selections made by Facility Executives and Sponsors in advance of the event.

Why is The TFM Forum: Institutional held at a relatively remote location?

Staying at a relatively remote location takes attendees away from the hectic world of the office and allows everyone to think strategically and conduct meetings in a focused, business-like environment. There are no exhibition stands or product demonstrations in the meeting areas, no interruptions and, of course, no long-distance traveling between appointments.

What is the accommodation like?

All participants are allocated sole occupancy hotel rooms with en-suite facilities.

Are spouses/partners invited?

The TFM Forum: Institutional has been designed to maximize your time in a professional environment throughout the day. Each element of the event, including one-to-one meetings, sessions, receptions and meals, are pre-set appointments open only to facility executives and sponsors. Spouses are strongly discouraged from attending as they will be unable to participate in any of the scheduled events.

How much does it cost?

Attendance for facility executives is free. The only costs that you will incur are your airfare and any personal purchases at the location such as: phone calls made from your hotel room, drinks purchased outside of meal-times and items from the shop.

What happens if I cancel?

If a facility executive cancels on or after January 8, 2010 there is a cancellation fee of $1000. This is structured to ensure that facility executives are committed to the selection process and to ensure that they are not holding a place open that they do not intend to take. We anticipate the demand for places to be greater than we can accommodate and any cancellations will deprive another corporate executive of the potential opportunity to attend. Secondly, once the appointment system goes live your cancellation affects others at the forum and we are keen to limit this disruption.

Is there a dress code?

The event is business casual during the day and evening.

As press, can I attend any conference sessions?

Yes. As a member of the press, you may attend all keynotes and most other sessions.

What is the cost to me?

As an invited member of the press, the event is complimentary including your accommodation and all meals, but not including drinks. You are responsible for your own transportation to and from the venue. end
