LonMark sets the standard for the world of open, integrated systems, and each year its success grows with the addition of more products and solutions developed by the growing LonMark community. So, when it comes to open, interoperable systems, LonMark is taking a lead role at the TFM Show, featuring an Interoperable Technology Demonstration along with the below educational sessions.

Wednesday, April 18

8:45 to 10:00 a.m.
LM1 LON Primer

The basics, the value, and the benefits. This session is geared for those who have heard about LonMark and LonWorks, but would like to receive more detailed technical information on the protocol, messaging, device profiles, product certification, wiring, network architecture, network diagnostics, network tools, programming devices, and more.

3:00 to 4:15 p.m.
LM2 The Value of Integrated, Open Systems

Learn how open systems can be used to reduce costs from installation and commissioning through operation by understanding the financial benefits associated with interoperability.

4:30 to 5:45 p.m.
LM3 Enterprise Connectivity

When working with open systems, multiple protocols can co-exist throughout an enterprise and still be managed as one system. Discussions include integration strategies with multiple protocols and tying open systems into the IT environment.

Thursday, April 19

8:45 to 10:00 a.m.
LM4 System Specification Process

This session will address how to write, enforce, and leverage an open systems specification, including how to ensure openness, the ABCs of specifying an open system; available tools and resources; common mistakes and how to avoid them; and examples of good specifications.

3:00 to 4:15 p.m.
LM5 The World of LonMark

This panel discussion will include what’s new in the world of LonMark International/Americas, including industry initiatives, product certification, system level standards, and integrator certification.

4:15 to 7:15 p.m.
LonMark Certification Testing Program

LonMark Americas will administer this exam as part of its LonMark Certified Installer, Professional, and Integrator Testing Program and will be collecting test fees of $300 for non-members and $250 for LonMark members.
